Attic ladders are installed from above, with technicians sealed within the attic space. Working conditions can become hazardous during hot weather, so we limit our installations to the months of November through April for safety.

During the site visit, we evaluate several factors that may impact the final cost:

🧰 We determine if your rough opening requires modification to accommodate modern ladder sizes.

🧰 Can we reuse the existing trim molding?
🧰 Roof height from the attic floor.

🧰 Rafter spacing for our specialized hoist.
🧰 For our safety while kneeling/working around the opening during installation, securely attached attic flooring is required at least 2' wide around the entire perimeter of the opening. If your attic lacks such flooring, we can provide an estimate for its installation.

A NJ resident for 48 years, Lee is a third generation carpenter, following in both his grandfather and great-grandfather's footsteps. He is a proud graduate of Drexel University (go Dragons!!), and spent 25 years in technical sales as Regional, then North American Sales Mgr. for an international building materials manufacturer.
