Double Pantry Makeover in Cherry Hill🍒

After ten years ⏳ of living with poorly installed, makeshift, side-by-side pantries, this Cherry Hill 🍒 Mrs. 🙋‍♀️ had enough and called in The Dapper Doer 👨‍🔧 🧰 , South Jersey's ***INTERIOR DOOR 🚪 REPLACEMENT & REPAIR SPECIALISTS***, for a much-needed makeover!

The mandate was to fix the following:

The left side doors 🚪 and right side doors 🚪 were clearly from different manufacturers because the six panel designs were of different sizes, so they all needed replacing to match. DONE! ✅
The right set of doors 🚪 were installed ½" higher at top than the left ones. So we added a board at the top of the door frame to drop the track to the same height as the left doors, making them even. VOILA! 💥
The right closet apparently used to be one of those 1990's kitchen alcove deals with a desk and drawers. The Mrs. liked the drawers, and the desktop could double as a shelf, but she wanted them painted to match the new shelves so they'd blend better. We gladly obliged. TA-DA! 👌
Keep the existing shelf supports, but get rid of the old shelves, which were only half the depth of the closet; some were warped pine, some were twisted MDF, all of them were random depth planks just laid loosely in there side-by-side with no fasteners or adhesive. Instead, she wanted new, full depth, ¾" thick, melamine edge-banded shelves, cut perfectly to fit each shelf space, then glued and nailed in place to add strength and minimize movement or sag over time. No problem...PRESTO! 💯
The center wall that divided one closet from the other was curved instead of straight, which made the sliding doors have a perpetual gap when they were closed against that wall, no matter how well they were adjusted on the track. So we proposed the addition of a flat piece of trim, slightly wider than the wall to hide the gaps along with decorative trim at the top and bottom to make it pretty. BAM! 💪
Paint the new doors and trim to match the new white shelves, desktop, and drawers. SHAZAM! 🖌

The Mrs. was pleased 🙋‍♀️, which made the Mr. happy 🙋‍♂️, too, and we were delighted 😃😃 we could help!
